  1. Howdy Partners! First off, I want to start by thanking Pearl Abyss for bringing us together with the Xbox Community! Everyone was a little gun shy, but Xbox is just as amazing and full of character as any of us! Now for the sad portion of this thread: Since the update, I have seen a huge decrease in performance. Now, I know everyone says “Go Buy am SSD”, and I want to get right on that, however, that is not the first solution any user should seek. The reason being, the issue may not be fixed solely due to an SSD. The generation of the console plays a huge role as well. You don’t have to take my word for it, though, I have asked around and gathered minimal data to support this claim. I apologize for not referencing the player base that gave us the data. The key to my argument may seem arbitrary, but no one should have to invest another $100 - $500 (Highend assuming you buy a newer generation console) knowing that the money invested does not even support Pearl Abyss. I may or may not spend that money if it went partially or in full to Pearl Abyss, as I am a team player. This is dragging on. Mr. Kaniso what issues are you referring to? There is a huge drop in frames. This is in PvE and PvP environments. I main RBF so this is where my concern started. To be fair I went back out into the PvE of Balenos Server and encountered the same issue, with less players around. When the console begins rendering objects and players that have not been or begun being rendered, frame rates drop and all executable commands cease. This may not seem like a huge issue to some so I will paraphrase the issue with a metaphor : Its hard to eat cereal when your spoon is too heavy to pick up. The PS4 Slim operating systems and supporting hard ware cannot keep up, they are weighed down and will not work properly. You can play, but it will be very unpleasant. On a final note , I understand that an entity can only do so much at any one time. I am not trying to curse or holler at Pearl Abyss. I just want to give my view and opinion on the matter. Thank you for the most enjoyable past few months! It is an experience I will never wish to take away! - Kaniso , Balenos’ Resident Cowboy

    Graphics

My suggestion is simple. Give graphics quality control options to the players. At least for the general environment and towns. To be honest the meshing and texturing is bad if you look closely at 95% of the game anyway. It's only beautiful from a distance. This will drastically improve load times and cut down on lag and crashing. Most players will choose performance and stability over graphics and resolution.
  3. on PC there is dynamic algorithms that change the game effects and animations during boss fights. These currently don't exist on PS4 and are needed. There is about 200-300 players on each server in attendance on Kzarka fights and the game has very poor performance, please incorporate optimizations used on the PC because my laptop runs the boss fights fine on PC. Also the lag on loot is an issue, also if you die during the boss fights you cannot use elions tears to rez.
  4. Unplayable, terrible , broken and etc. Camera handling is horrible (Inconsistent sensitivity). Stutterings, unstable fps. Disable uncap fps mode (and set cap to 30 as regular ps4). Repair game! Atm I regret that I spend money on this.
  5. Looks like a bit better, but still terrible... Very low fps in cities (Altinova for example) and bosses, BAD camera handling (weird acceleration; camera speed depending on fps?!). Do devs test/play game on PS4 Pro? I resent!
  6. As we know the Engineering team have stated While that's all fine and dande we need more options for players who want it.For example I prefer higher stability than quality and I believe their should be a option for players like me. Being able to play the game 60 fps at 1080p should be a option. We know its possible shooters like Rainbow 6 siege and even COD can do it.Open world we should be able to run the game at 60fps even if it drops in cities at least giving us the option should be on the table. @[CM] Simon @[CM] Serena @[CM]Daniel Please pass this onto the engineering team.
  7. I know this is only a beta, but I checked the game's settings and it was listed as X1XE:True. I really hope there are plans to make the resolution higher, I think 1080p is totally fine, and improve draw distance a lot. I think that's the thing that's really glaring is the draw distance. Grass is rendering to increasing detail right in front of my character and beyond that, about 10 meters away from my character, the ground looks like a muddy texture until you get closer and grass starts to sporadically render until you're standing on it. I will say that I am impressed with the performance, but I'm wondering if it's performing so well because everything is so cut back. I know the X is capable of a hell of a lot more than what's in the beta, and again, I know this is a beta so I'm expecting the final release to look a lot better. Just want to put this feedback out there in case for some reason improved visuals aren't in the plans.
  8. Yo. Just suggesting deadzone options for the joysticks some time in the future. If you don't know what deadzones are: it's essentially a slider that determines the needed amount of pressure applied to the joystick before it inputs blahblah command. Important for those who like it a certain way, have shakey hands, or, in my case, comma, a disfuntional controller that enjoys the look of the sky. As for performance, it's actually pretty good, considering I'm playing on a day-one console. Frames drop heavily crowded areas full of players, and some "zone" transitions such as standing on the edge of Heidel in some spots. (Which I discovered both of which during and after the wheel barrow event earlier today) Either limiting the amount of players allowed on screen, or giving us the option to do so ourselves, if possible, would be dope. Soz if this isn't a fleshed out suggestion, first time doing this.
