Whos main will be a Warrior

After some extensive time with the majority of classes tried, all except witch. I found I most enjoyed the melee classes. Warrior and berserker. I feel the combat style translates very well to controller, where as the range classes I feel didn't have enough impact to them. This could be my personal preference, I've played fighting games ever since I was a kid, and always leaned towards being a melee or tank class in mmos. So call me biased. In regards to the meta what's everyone opinions on how it may look on console, will we be relegated to bottom tier all but outside 1v1? Bringing the classes seems to console have brought some unique challenges and changes. An example being, I've heard the block on a warrior is 360° , not just frontal like it is on pc. I can't confirm this by any means. But I have heard of similiar tweeks in regards to changes like this on other class's. Little changes like this will certainly effect the meta. I am really looking forward to launch so we can all get hands on and we can break down all the classes and how they've been handled for console.

Are yiu on the 1x, i am and i think it really adds speed accept when the node war was on with all those unstable server messages...I did not see the wartior as nerfed. He was really quick out of the gate so to speak..he builds energy fast.. He handled Rednose and the boss after real well. I loved how he'd throw the mobs around😁 when i got to crom it was too tedious more from pushing through 5 charaters in a short time frame, that was too many characters.

From what I played, I'm most likely wrong and I'm trying to keep my reservations to myself. But I handled rednose on the warrior the easiest and fastest. With just a few evasions, no health pots and a couple skill but mostly regular attacks. I had him down in 10-15 seconds. Much quicker then I did on any of the other classes. Also yes I am playing on a one X, which I feel in 1080 mode should certainly have an added benefit for warriors, well any one really. Now know ease of use during leveling doesn't really matter, particularly low levels. I found there was more to combo with and easier to boot. Really was hoping I could click with sorcerer, maybe I wasn't looking at the skills properly but got her to low 30s and couldn't find that many combos. Activating them was a whole nother story. I usually have no problems remembering combinations and getting the timings down, but I was having a hell of a time with sorcerer with this. I could not find the sweet spots for her timings. Meanwhile I very rarely missed on the warrior.

i will main a warrior.. i'm just worried about the combos that i couldn't perform due to lack of explanation.. also we don't have a skill tree to see where are we going with certain skill and if it's going to be effective at the end of the line.

i'm sure there are plenty of builds for the warrior on PC, but that can't be fully replicated on the console with a controller.

So while they don't have a list of full combos to do. They do list what moves can be used after certain moves. So it's up to the user to sort piece move a with b, then b with c, then c with d/e. I like this certain way of doing things, specifically cause it gives a bit of freedom make custom combos, instead of just having pre-determined combos. There are deffinitely ways to min/max your damage effeciency. But I find that one of the joys of this game discovering that on your own. Once I get to "endgame" pvp, I will most definitely look up guides for what are the most effective combos.

check this out.. do you think this is clearly explained? "RB+RT when your right foot is at the front and you can attack right"

i tried to perform this in many different ways, but it didn't work.. it's not clear how to perform this or what needs to be performed prior to this.. right foot at the front? wth?

 

and when i press X to see the Skill Demo, nothing is obvious! on the PC, they show you what needs clicking and when..

That skill you mention maX is an upgraded skill (if I'm not mistaken). A lot of skills in BDO when read will make no sense like berserker "flow" skills but they are used for animation cancels and/or alternate combos. This skill Whirlwind Strike is useful for animation canceling counter and flowing into the spinning slash skill. So normally when you use counter you are animation locked, but with this skill when you use counter follow up with RB+RT before counter animation is complete and you'll go into this combo instead.

yea, probably like you've described it.. but i wouldn't know what's what and what's used for animation cancels and aren't a straight-forward attacks or what goes in after counters, or even how to perform counters lol

i'm new to the game, and like many ppl will be, we wouldn't know how to perform these skills until someone who knows "how" they work will post a guide! or learn the hard way that may take sometime to finally realize it isn't what i needed after all
