Node War Cheaters

On more than one occasion, guilds are bringing more players than allowed into Node Wars. Yesterday, our war was on T1 node at Bradie. Our last opponent after every other guild was knocked out, war <Regret>. This guild brought about 50 members into a node war for 25 players. This is not okay. Node Wars are already laggy due to bad servers/desync, so we don't need cheaters. We were having 25 players zerg our base, with the 25 players not participating (or they mixed in both participants and non-participants) staying back at fort to defend.

My first thoughts were that we were mistaken, especially since I was under the impression non-participants are not able to attack players in node but then we see members from regret "Unfairly killing" our participants. Not only that, but our guildie has a screenshot of their fort after we destroyed their zerg group. They had WAY more than 25 <regret> guildies inside their base. I will get him to post those screenshots on this thread.

Changes need to be made. Make it so NON-PARTICIPANTS are denied access to the servers where their guild is participating. Or, even better, game servers still don't run well yet. Even removing all monsters from servers doesn't completely solve issues with lag during NW. I run an Xbox One X with 250Mbps download speed btw. Point is, the best solution would be to disable access from the server to EVERYBODY except participants. Maybe this would help keep stability. I doubt this second solution would be done. Not enough servers to support all the players that would need to move to other servers (Yet another reason why they added this game to game pass too early).

We need to restrict access to the server so that guildies that didn't participate can not enter and cheat like this.

Hi I'm a regret officer I'd like to clarify some things real quick. First of all the reason it said we unfairly killed you was due to your players being outside the war area it happened to us as well. Second I find it extraordinarily difficult to understand how you thought we had 50 people when we had to leave 10 players at the base because our defense went afk, that push we finally won off of only had 15 players pushing. Please feel free to post these pictures of our 50 players but blatantly slandering us is embarrassing for you guys as it is.

Nobody is "slandering" anybody, and we are not targeting you specifically either. This happened again today with another guild. We see something wrong with what is going on in-game, and bring it to the forums to hopefully have it addressed. We don't play node wars to win, but to enjoy it as a more casual guild. We are not being toxic about it. We don't even care that we lost. Aside from what this thread is about, we had fun. That's all we care about That aside, we're trying to prevent such tactics from being used, as it also goes against Xbox's ToS, and BDO's EULA for a guild to do the things we saw yesterday, and is also a bannable offense on both Xbox and BDO.

12.1.4. Use of Exploits

The User shall immediately report any process(es) or action(s) which, when performed in the Game, allow the User to play the Game in a way it was not intended to be played by game design (hereinafter, an “Exploit”).

If guildies being "unfairly killed" is a result of fighting outside node area, I'll give you that. And even if unregistered guild members are not able to fight for you, they are still fully capable of being meat shields. When we see 30, 40, or more members of a guild inside their fort when the node we're playing on is made for 25 players each team, we're going to bring it up. If a guild wants to win that badly, go right ahead and keep doing what you do. Other people are not going to let that fly. You may say we're "slandering", but not saying anything at all is no different from saying that what you do is okay. We'd rather "embarrass ourselves" as you put it, if it means players can enjoy the game without others exploiting.

Where are you getting this 30 to 40 members? You do realize when you wipe us and we begin to respawn after the timer our models load in before we even get a chance to see anything. If you are referring to this as a means of us having more members that's flawed. The same thing happens on your end and anyone else's who dies and begins to respawn, the models will load and be stuck loading until players fully get in. Why they are able to absorb shots I couldn't tell you. If you have time add me TMG SwedishFish I'll glady explain the misunderstanding. I agree to report bugs but if you have something you want to say about the guild I'm in please at least get the facts together before you post something like this. You accuse us of exploiting please provide proof of these claims, if you have names please provide them I'll talk to them if they interfered when they weren't flagged for war. These games are meant to be fun but the community is small and posts like this really do hurt reputations with these baseless accusations.

I would like, if possible, someone from <Regret> to let me know which incredibly salty guild is spouting this nonsense on the official forums of all places. PM me or say it here, whatever.

Firstly, there are 2 posts now claiming they had 30-40 and "more" inside their base. You DO know that is impossible, right? And that this isn't a thing people that has been really reported all this time, right? I can bet evidence won't be shown because there is none.

Secondly, we watch <Regret> and a few other up-and-coming guilds all the time, and have even warred against them. You're telling me that a guild that owns 3 T1s, uses them to train NW newbies, and has never been accused of something like this on the appropriate discord channels (do you even have access to them?) is now cheating because they want to "win that badly?" Heck, I know nothing about the war in question but I can bet that they most likely didn't even use too much guild funds and had a wide open base without much barricades (as per any non-tryhard guild on a measly T1).

You stating how it happened "again" today with another guild, combined with the ludicrously suspicious slander against this guild, is emphasizing my original point; salty and unprofessional, making your guild in question look bad.

Again, who are you?

The last guild we fought on the node was <Feared>, who took out <Freestyle> (third place on the node), yet didn't complain cause they wiped them out. Several of Feared members kept running outside the node war boundaries for the particular node we were fighting for (Bradie Fortress), thus when killed it said unfairly killed, and guildless. I assume this is their complaint? We never had more than 25 ppl, as that is impossible, at times we had literally 6 ppl on def, with 4 of them AFK... literally 2 people defending.

This is/was a T1 node. The audacity of this accusation against a T1, 25 ppl node war, is pretty ridiculous. We had 25, just like you, just like the other 6 guilds who showed up, since that's the limitations of the game... And again the "unfairly killing people" was already given an answer, but I'll reiterate, when a player steps outside of the node war boundaries, you're no longer "in" that particular node war (might be confusing for you). Move 5ft back to the right? Bam you're back in "that" node war. The killing message "XX killed YY from [Guild]" would then hav showed up. 

 

Plenty of times your members ran outside the boundaries, and died there, thus giving the unfairly killed message in chat, instead of fighting within the boundaries and giving the [Guild] kill message.

 

Also - you're trying to tell me you had exactly "25" people on S1 at the time of this node war? Not one person more? Not only that, a lot of people like to watch, learn, and give constructive feedback. That would completely negate that fun aspect of "watching" node wars.

Seeing as the entire point of this thread, which was to leave it to GMs, CMs, or a moderator to find and notify Pearl Abyss is now pretty much in the back burner, I'm just going to leave it to be deleted. I made the mistake of mentioning a guild name, and should have left that out. It would have been better to keep things anonymous, and without screenshots, to avoid this arguing. It seems I didn't even have to get as far as posting proof before fingers got pointed, and salt's been thrown around.

I'll do you two a favor, since a fight between people isn't what anyone wanted out of this. <Feared> was not involved, at least as far as we are aware. Don't point fingers at them. We haven't even fought them in a guild war yet. 

I apologize to both <Regret> and <Feared>. While I do still stand by my point, I should have kept names out of it.

I don't know how to delete threads is users can even do that, so I'll leave that to a moderator.

You do understand that not only can players not interact with anything if they are not participating, can not fight on the server at all, and can be killed without repercussions (No Karma Lose) or need to be flagged on. You can not even flag and attack people when you are not participating. The server stability issues may be a problem but node wars have been around a long time and Pearl Abyss had addressed the non-participants issue long ago. Also dew to the way the system is set up, they can not make it where all non-participants are not allowed on the server as you must be on the server to hit participate. Doing so, would make it where guild could not have players who have shown up late participate as they get on, if they are below the max participants. Not mentioning guild names does not change the fact that you are outright wrong in the fact that non-participants can effect a war and evidence that you clam you have has yet to appear. Pearl Abyss should be focusing on getting our server stability up and content updates. Not looking into false, baseless and petty accusations.
