Zerk atm

Been a hot minute since the last post big boi's how yall feelin on zerker? Personally I think the class is fun af but the lack of protection on the class is ridiculous. The amount of gear required to be relevant has also costed a lot of my zerk friends to re roll to some simpler options. How do yall feel?

I feel like this class does need a buff for sure. Xbox zerk and PC zerk are 2 different people.

I have no intention of ever re rolling cuz I love the class but barely anyone plays it, its very evident clearly something is wrong.

If people don't see that this class needs a buff then their is really something wrong with you.

Id just be happy if someone made a zerk guide for more advanced stuff like movement,combos and what are the best animation cancels focuses on the xbox lol.

I definitely need more practice PvP wise

Not much interest in this topic I guess. Let me start with my hot takes. FYI in game name is Bose.

I'm a middle of the road zerker skill wise so take my input with a grain of salt. Below are the issues I see with Zerker:

  1. Skill Point Investment: This isn't just limited to Zerker, this applies to Warrior as well. The amount of skill points required for zerker and some other legacy characters is to dang high. The be relevant, zerkers need 1600 SP right now. Min 1800SP are required to be "competitive" when rabam skills get released. 2000SP will are required if we want the skills for both PVP and PVE. This is way to high and is a significant barrier to entry into the class.
  2. Lack of protected skills. No i-frame abilities.
  3. Can't control our awakened 100%.
  4. Can't aim heal
  5. No mouse/cursor movement. Lava Piercer is very predictable as a result
  6. Slower grabs than other grab classes.
  7. No grab priority for player vs NPC
  8. Slower Flame Buster than PC.
  9. Lava Piercer hit detects everything. Even the smallest dang pebble and stop LP

Suggestions to fix the class:

  1. Remove two of our grabs, we only need two: Storming Beast and Rock Smash or Rooting. We do not need 4 grabs. replace the two gabs with something relevant (I don't know what).
  2. Add an i-frame to Shake-off. I'd even be happy if it has a cooldown. Just give us a damn i-frame.
  3. Increase speed of Smackdown. 
  4. Let us put BWS on ring menu.
  5. Let us put Raging Thunder on ring menu
  6. Allow us to aim our heal and 100% awaken ult.
  7. We need to be able to immediately fire Flame Buster.
  8. Lava Piercer needs to ignore some obstacles.

I'm forgetting some QoL stuff...i know.

I think, before balance and buffs (like a very very very welcomed 2secCD i-frame like warrior's Head Chase or a skill change to subsitute the 4 grabs on a 2 CC system) we should aim to get the same ability as PC zerkers. One step at a time, and im fine...

It's well known that PC zerker have a big role in large scale PvP when it comes to Qbuff and 100%GLeap. On our side, neither of those 2 skills are viable in large scale.

 

Make FB actually shoot if used from hotkey (you know, how it actually says in the friggin skill description)

Make 100%GLeap have all his damage concentrated if you use rb/RT to land. So if i want to travel i deal travelling damage and landing damage in a line, if i want the damage on a spot, make it so the rb/RT imput, concentrate all the travelling damage into the landing damage.

 

Then work on class tweake

I just do not comprehend the hesitation towards working on the class. Making it better.

This is absolutely the truest thing ever. Let me tell you something about zerker at the moment,

Being decent in 1v1's is one thing, but not exceeding in what we are supposed to is another. We are nerfed extremely hard on Xbox.

 

Giant Leap/ Jump Sequence:

Not being able to do anything in a Node and Siege war except get a few kills (if you are lucky) with Giant Leap is the most depressing thing ever. As it stands, its supposed to be the most damaging ultimate  in the game, second to Valkyrie who has not been released yet. The ultimate while traveling does no damage. Only the ramp up, and slam does damage. We can't control our ultimate on Xbox so we are losing on 50%-70% of our damage. The ultimate and the ability its self sucks in general as well. Not having working Super Armor and a very non working I frame which is just horrible since the class has very little protection. Our only escape tool that does not work, and an Ultimate Ability, that does nerfed damage. Real fun, especially since you already have to be taking a high risk by standing near enemies in the first place and you cannot retreat after the ultimate.

 

Titan Syndrome/ Flame Buster:

This was specifically (Cannon Spam) disabled on Xbox. Making us virtually useless in large scale. We have no way of doing damage outside of our ult, a nerfed version of this, and situationally, Ancient Noodle. You guys need to revert this, so zerk can actually be a viable pick for Siege and Node wars, because since awakening, he has been completely outshined by classes who aren't even supposed to be amazing in Siege in the first place. Nobody is playing him, and nobody wants zerks in there guild, we don't offer a damn thing. 

Titan Syndrome is also useless as the DP and heal from it is pretty much un noticeable and for the most part, is used to just lesson cc chances. But it least this ability works as intended. 

 

Ancient Wave: Although the ability works as intended, it was nerfed a while back up to 30-40% for no reason and never got un nerfed. The skill does do burst damage, but since the nerf it's very niche at best. Especially since it has no accuracy on the ability, and you have to be within a set distance for perfect damage. It has such a ridiculously long cool down that it's pretty much useless. Too much risk, not enough reward. 30 seconds? Other classes have burst abilities at 8-15 seconds at most. Very ridiculous.

By far our Large Scale and usefulness compared to PC i'd say are our worst things for us now.

I wrote down some stuff for later, but this is the most important and by far is the biggest reason for why people play this class. So please @[CM]Shirna take a look at the community and what Twitch chat and many other places and people are saying about Zerk. It's in a horrible spot right now, not an (okay spot) maybe if we had what PC has it would be decent, but we don't. We don't have anything. I know it's a bit redundant to ask of you and constantly be annoyed by it, but there is nothing being done, or talked about on the class to help it. It is a very poor class on console, and with these other classes coming out, worse than ever.

Some of Zerks abilities and features on the class have not been touched or updated since launch and even before that. It's time for this class to get some major attention and is updated to match the others. Some sort of communication could be set up? Poll? Anything to talk to you guys about this HUGE issue.

i finally found the stream where they say they INTENTIONALLY NERFED FLAME BUSTER SPAM for zerker.

@CM_Valtarra @CM Trent @GM_Hexe @GM Grana @GM_Calpheon @CM Valencia 

Guys, this nerf was un-necessary and we kindly ask for you to revert this so called FIX.

NONE ASKED FOR THIS "FIX" AND THERE IS NO REASON WHY THIS WAS IMPLEMENTED BEFORE EVEN HAVING THE CHANCE TO TEST IT OUT ON THE LIVE GAME.


You need to have FB shoot from hotkey, so we can still have some relevance in large scale PvP.

Zerk is already a class that is gimped on console due to not having the possibility to mouse move many skills. 100% Giant Leap is the other big NERF we suffer in large scale due to no mouse movement.

We also need the ability to rotate the camera view while healing.

 

WE DEMAND JUSTICE FOR OUR CLASS !!

Thanks for the tag @Staypunk1989 Unfortunately, I do not have the power to reverse any nerfs or changes to classes. I have been diligently forwarding videos and items that @The Guiido has been sharing in discord in regards to The Berzerker class for the Dev's to look into for possible bugs. At this point the only thing more that can be done as far as expressing your suggestions and feedback would be to submit a ticket to customer support. This is the most direct form of feedback we have where you can have one on one conversation about your observations/suggestions/experiences.

@CM_Valtarra here is the survey results from PC as well as console players submissions. A simple read to all of those questions and concerns found there should absolutely raise some eyebrows, and get some sort of conversation going at Pearl Abyss. Thats a lot of people who took that survey for this class.

Having now had the opportunity to now play one on the PS4 (yes I know this is Xbox forms but have you seen our class guides section?) I strongly agree with all of the above.

Having come from PC where my main was a Berserker, the difference is night and day. Grabs are a lot slower and not as fluid, that was the first thing to make me think "am i getting lag or something" turns out no I am not it was by design. Giant Leap is also very very broken, In fact re reading what @The Guiido has written all of it is factually correct. It is in a very sorry state at the moment, and once Striker lands I predict the death of the Zerker on PS4. There are so very few of us already that when I come across another Berserker I am surprised.

Having one of your own play a Zerker "Shirna" he should know how poorly implemented this class is unless he never played on PC. This is not even the same class at all. But I wont stop playing it as I love what he stands for.

Thanks for the response man. I'm not giving up. I know the devs aren't reading this, but I will still fight for this class.
