How is everyone liking the shai so far?

 

i am really into the support class. I hope they do more content that makes us want to group up. She actually is a rather nice pve class. I’m thinking she might become my main for awhile.

Idk she feels unfinished. She has so few skills i have lots of extra skill points.Also she has no passive skill not counting infinite mastery etc.

I'm in love with it because of how cute it is and its animations. Look-and-animation-wise everything's great!

I've only played her to level 40 and have yet to fully try all her skills, but so far what I think of her combat (this is for PVE, I don't PVP enough yet to count) 

Boomerang:

  • Every single boomerang skill does like a crap-ton of hits!!! Again I haven't gotten far with her but it seems she has some SOLID damage in PVE, and that's what I was afraid of she wouldn't have (=
  • I like how the range of her skills varies and you have to think about your positioning and direction of movement, makes the combat a bit more interesting.
  • Looks cool - some look high-tech depending on how you dye them
  • Sounds acceptable - OK so when grinding you hear your attacks over and over and over... I also play a Lahn main, Witch, and Sorc and out of all of them, the Shai sounds the least annoying to me when grinding. For others, I have to turn the effects and voice sound to almost zero, this one I can keep it higher and not go insane, so far...Also, her kitten-"miu" sound and tiny voice, when she's jumping or fighting, sounds better than the incessant moaning and screaming that some of the other female classes do for almost every move (looking at you Witch!).

Vitclari:

  • It feels like she needs more skills with it, maybe add some more AOEs with CC effects (take out damage if that makes it too OP), maybe add a buff to make everyone run faster, or a buff to make everyone invisible for a bit, or a buff that makes a magic portal (how neat would that be)...fun stuff like that. She's support after all and lots of stuff can be done with that focus for AOE support and CC spells.
  • The few healing and support skills she has with it do look very nice though (=

I have a feeling they will add more skills. Also, we've yet to see her awakening and how it combines with the current weapon set, I can't wait to see it!!!

So far I think it will be my "second main" too for a while, along with Lahn.

Nice Class, I've played all classes to Lvl58-60 but deleted all except Ranger 61(My main since game launch on PC, Almost 62) and Archer 60, I wouldnt have bothered with a new class but they had to do a Hobbit! ("Shai" Watever its a BDO Hobbit), I find the Bomerangs a bit Hit and miss its either Bang-on target or spining in wide arcs left or right missing 75% of the targets, and yes all my skills are maxed out at lvl57 with about 350 skill points unspent, Well I suppose by the Time Awakening arrives i'll have a ton to spend, and then it depends on Awakening if the class is a Keeper or deleter :)

I think awakening will fix the feeling of emptiness. Once shes a bard i have a feeling you'll be strumming on her the entire fight. Im excited to see how she plays

Shai is crazy fun! I'm hoping awakening comes with more support, and heals. As it is, her healing is a little behind a witch or wizard. Though overall support is aaaaaaaaamazing as is! Boomerang combat is super interesting because you have to worry about direction you're facing and the range you're throwing it. Hop gives shai good mobility and is fun to use. Probably most fun I've had in the game so far.

I like the Shai so far and she is fun to play. But I think she is unfinished and needs definitely some polishment, before she is perfect. Especially in the higher levels (40+), I have recognized a lack of skills and variety. I have many unused skills points at higher level so far, because there are no existing skills I could spend on it.

It seems also for me, that the Shai had to be published quickly. A lot of Black spirit quests above 40+ are not translated and still in Korean language. Some gear and weapon exchange quests are also bugged. Or also some anmiation are missing, like putting the weapon on the back.

Overall is the Shai a nice class for me, which needs some polishment before she is really finished to play.

Yeah overall sitting on 90 extra skill points and im just at 52 with everything possible unlocked. She definently needs more skills and stuff.

I am currently level 56 and thus far enjoy the class. I feel that aside from her awakening, there is still some things missing. For one her Play Dead skill needs a  lot shorter of a cool down. A 10 minute cool down on this skill is far to great. She also needs a bit more of a damage output. I realize that she is built as a support class but we need some more damage. It is impossible for us to kill others in open world PvP. All we can do is run around in hopes of having someone with us to protect us or just run away. I stay and fight because I have over 315 dp and just heal through the damage until the other party just finally gives up. It would be good just to be able to do enough damage to cause them to run away. I know that it is just the beginning so I will be patient and see what is in store.

I do Agree with You. She is pretty nice to play with as shes really good at grinding, she feels kinda developed to be a lifeskiller character , all animations and so.

 

But as it is, even if she is a pve character, she needs to defend herself. I agree with reduced dmg in PVP,  so far it seems like non existant damage in PVP, even if no PVP dmg, she needs more stuns, CC,s etc, even if we can not kill enemies, just to be annoying enough for them to leave us alone with our grinding spot.

Loved this class. It will be great if they increase the area of treatment / dome / buff. I hope in the awakened stand she will be a buffer as a person from lineage2 or a minister from ragnarok online.

Not sure why everyone is saying shai is too hard to kill if you a mage they melt just like every other class almost instantly. melee folks are the only ones who will have issues with Shai. so  the massive damage nerf they get in PVP is kind of uncalled for.
