Pure pve servers?

See and thats what i dont understand. Ur grinding for hours on end to get 1 drop. Any other game a messup in skill rotation and ur dead. Not in bdo tho only danger ive ran into are red baboons. However last one who tried was 1 shotted by me. Then he actually whispers me and complains that i instakilled him. I asked him his lvl he said 54. Im like dude im 59 with awakened ult tri wep tri kutum n tri zark. What did u think the outcome would be?. Point being is is that red baboons will be red baboons. And about arsha having increased drop loot. How is that in any way fair? Just because its a pvp server doesnt justify this decision  because it doesnt mean that all the baboons will migrate to the new banana.

Danger or rather PA's understanding of danger is the reason behind what they think is balanced in terms of loot and xp rates on these servers. 

Arsha gets +50% drop rate for the increased idea of danger when compared to the normal servers. 

If a PVEonly server existed then its drops would be balanced based on the reduced idea of danger.  

You don't understand PAs reasoning? 

How do you hope to convince them of anything if you can't speak on their terms?

 

Risk v reward matters to them. The "risk" is what people are complaining about here. You want to remove a risk. They will have to change the reward.

Fine do it come on already reduce the drop rate idc but PvP is so stupid. The grind is what you keep referencing back to, so we have to grind a little longer its worth the sacrifice to get trash PvP away from me. Im sure many people would not mind drop rate decreases if it means no more PvP for specific servers.

I think you already got your answer: The same thread for PvE servers in the XBox section was deleted or archived tonight by a CM. Therefore, expect a PvE server will never come and this question also wants not to be discussed by a CM or PM 😞

Well as you can see the devs at Blizzard told us the consumer for years that we didn't want classic wow and for years the community kept telling them yes we do. Long story short they lost many subs until lo and behold they tried our suggestion and now there are more people playing classic than retail. If PA wants more players they might want to wake up and listen to the community about Pve servers.

Yeah it was my pve post that got deleted.. they really dont know what we want.. smh

I don't worry about that anyway. All that can happen is I win or lose some random fight. Either way, I change servers to find a less busy rotation. I can generally get a couple hours a day in Arsha on PC without being bothered. 

The bigger issue is there just being a bunch of people in my way. They never even have to flag up and they are ruining my grinding session. Last night at Nagas was particularly bad on PS4. 0 pvpping but the spot was full of people killing npcs making my guild mission take longer. 

Taking away pvp won't make grinding better.  You'd still need to swap channels if the spot gets busy.  Removing pvp wouldn't fix the core issue for grinding. Yes, you are less scared but you are spending more time for less rewards.

You people are asking for a pve server, right?

There's no problem you know how dense the mobs are and how fast they spawn your argument is futile. If they make a pve server why would anyone want to switch.

Yes but having to not worry about pvp battles is always nice and yeah I understand that part but ps4 doesnt have the full map and neither does xbox, so far on xbox I dont get pvp'd alot there are plenty of grind spots.. the map is huge lol I dont like having to grind a little part of an area and getting someone who thinks they own the entire grind area and pvp everyone they come across. The karma system doesnt discourage anyone from pvp so it doesnt make sense to see everything in funnel vision and putting up with forced pvp. Either way when ever another mmorpg comes out I may just leave bdo behind lol. It's a good game dont get me wrong it's just that 1 feature that gives the game a huge disadvantage to other games.

Regardless of how big the game is on PC when compared to PS4/Xbox, you aren't necessarily trying to grind all mobs at any given time. You may have missions for a mob or want items from a specific mob or marni stones etc. 

So on a PvE server there wouldn't be pvp but could still suffer from crowding with little to no way of getting around the slower grind unless you channel hop to a normal server. 

 

This request gives you people fewer options and less items.

It does not give less options or items it just gives you pvpers less targets to harass that's why you don't want it your servers would be like ghost town more than it already is lol.

Even if the became a discussion for concept, a pve only server would have to be completely isolated (no server hopping, merging of CM) from every other server with a completely different path the game would need to take in terms of content. If anyone thinks pvp is just a "flavor" for this game, you would quickly realize how flavorless everything else is in terms of classes, depth of fighting mechanics, desire to obtain and upgrade weapons/armor/accessories, grinding mobs. You may as well just have a game with just 1 class with an AoE and hp/resource recovery ability just to life skill items that will barely sell since there is no purpose to obtain them from someone else.

I can think of numerous positive/dynamic changes pvp has played a fundamental role in.

So either this is a troll post and someone needs to close this, or just stay at level 49 and you get all the perks from the economy from your life-skilling gameplay with none of the pvp "flavor" and still be able to be your true self. Honestly awakening/succession content isnt even needed if all you're doing is life skilling and aoe grinding.

🤦‍♂️ All we can do is guess what the option for pve servers would do to the game there is no actual stats for this option and I'm 100% sure that they wouldn't segregate the whole game by pve players and pvp players people and all their THEORIES are just what they think will happen. This isn't theory though. 

This is how we play the game on all servers right now. 

If it's crowded then you switch channels, try to chase people away, or stay in the crowded area until you're done with your mission or farm. 

If you are farming elites, ogres, rares, mushrooms, lobsters, coral, erc then you have to switch channels at the end of the each rotation.

Removing pvp doesn't change the above issues or how already play the game. 

PA already said less danger = less items. So when you're grinding a rotation on the pve server and it's crowded or you have to reset the area then your options are wait or change channels. The former is a big waste of time and the latter is you going back to pvp enabled channels. 

You people are the ones asking for a theoretical situation without wanting to acknowledge all the matters your one change would mean.  

If I disagree tough luck? Dude. This dud of an idea has been passed on PC for years.  The tough luck is you late to the party console gamers that think your new tears are new.

I'm not sure what part of my post triggered you to categorize me as one of "those" people. Allow me to clarify.

 

Most the arguments I've seen here, including my own, are refuting the need to justify a pve only server with very tangible issues that would take a significant amount of effort to implement for a not so clear # of playerbase, for issues that can be easily be solved with just staying at lv 49, moving servers, asking guildies for help. To brush off the idea of potential issues, instead of actually considering them, is condescending/ignorant and shows your lack of respect to the engagement.

 

Of all the years I've seen this game active in, the voices calling for a pure pve only server is minimal. If you want this to be a thing, you'll need more than just a few stray of posters saying "hey, I only pve. Make it happen" you'll need a big enough following to get a business' attention. There has to be a justification or something more tangible than a few cry posts about griefers before anyone would consider this idea that will make PA more money.
